Shift change.  Hurricane now on the nest.  Two babies look great and the egg is still an egg!

Just missed a turn and shuggle but see white fluff at her breast.  Hopefully the other hatch will take place while there is decent weather happening. :)

I only get to see the camera occassionally, but I also thought something wasn't right.  Poor little thing  :'( But as Ellie said, we do currently have two healthy chicks to concentrate on.

Shift change, and it does appear that one of the chicks is not moving at all. Still, squirmy sibling and still one egg to go gives hope.

Unfortunately, I too had a suspicion that something was not right.  Perhaps the hatch was a tough one, or perhaps the weather contributed.  We shall never know.

But, we do seem to have two healthy chicks and hopefully one more on the way.

Still looks quite windy in Brandon but at least the sun is out a bit this morning.  Can actually see a shadow in the box. :o

Oh no!  What a shame. :'( Guess all this awful weather has had something to do with it all. Will keep checking to see when the next feed might be and watch for the last hatch.

I have good news and sad news.  I guess we had three hatches since yesterday morning and I saw a feeding this morning for two looked like healthy chicks. I could see one laying motionless beside it's siblings. I had a feeling since yesterday that something wasn't right, because every time Hurricane allowed me to see under her I couldn't see the chick moving and I never did see the first chick get a feeding. :'( :'(

It is dark now so can't see what is going on at the nest but at least there appears to be a picture of the nest in very gray tone.  It is working and would be able to see it if it were day time.  Thanks!

Question: I see Brooklyn eating another shell, do we have a third chick  ???

I'm pretty sure the shell was from the second hatch. I think it was Hurricane and she had the shell in her mouth, then I watched her shove it back underneath her.

Can't see anything, looks like condensation in the cam again. I guess we won't know anymore till morning.

After all the time rcf and rose have put into watching these birds, this cam is a great thing for them. They actually got to see a hatch in progress. So thrilled for you two.

I'm thrilled for us too!  It sure is different than watching from a block and a 1/2 away through binoculars. I like it!!  ;D

Good for you - it is different for sure!
