McKenzie Seeds - 2011 / Brooklyn & Hurricane
The Peregrine Chick:
1107 hrs
Hurricane (I think) is flat on her belly beside the chicks trying to keep cool. The chicks are in the shade but its not big enough for her too so she's doing the belly-cool to help out.
Rose:
Got those pesky little flies(they fly up your nose,in your eyes, in your ears) around our area too, they get really bad where there is no wind, once the wind blows stronger they'll go away.Sure know how Hurricane feels, humans can get away but she has to stay and endure.Hopefully their season is short or we get a stronger breeze.
The Peregrine Chick:
Don't worry about the flies ... the Radisson site has had one that walks on the camera regularly - and he/she/it's been around since before the chicks hatch! Besides they are wonderful playthings when the birds (adults and chicks) get bored ;D
Ellie:
Yesterday we all noticed the pesky flies. Thought maybe with a breeze they might go away. No such luck. No doubt it has been like this all through the years but because we haven't been up close and personal with this nest we just never knew they were there. Anyway they certainly appear to be staying regardless!
RCF:
Beautiful sunny morning for the Brandon gang, just watched mom stuff the wobbly fluff balls until they fell over.
