McKenzie Seeds - 2011 / Brooklyn & Hurricane

Rose:
Very sad news indeed but the storm was unbelievably strong there was a lot of pea sized hail, rain and driving wind and it went on and on but two chicks survived and that's a good thing. We humans will grieve but Hurricane and Brooklyn will continue raising their remaining chicks according to their instincts and so life goes on.

How sad this had to have been to witness rcf. :'(

moka:
What heartbreaking news! After all that Hurricane and Brooklyn did, they lost another chick.  :'(

The upside is that they saved two of their babies with their grit and determination. In the end, they were stronger than the storm.

Awww... rcf & Rose, I am so very sorry to hear this news. :'( Hurricane is such a good mom and she tried so hard to protect all of her chicks, but I guess that there was just too much rain and the chicks, being so young, could not thermoregulate their body temperature yet. :'(

sheltiegirl:
How very sad, makes you appreciate how much of a miracle a full grown peregine in flight is.
