One of the chicks in the nest eating some "stiff". Lunchtime leftovers. Way to go, clean up the nest for us.

Yes, she did Rose, but I wasn't sure where exactly to locate that info. I really am not very good at identifying the individual birds, Rose, as you thought I was. :-[ Guess I really have to pay more attention to observing their colourings and markings. I can, however, distinguish the difference btw big & little. ;) ::) LOL!

I believe that the black band means that the birds were born in the wild in Manitoba.

Didn't TPC put something about band colors eg, what black band signifies,what info is on the silver bands etc.,in a thread a few weeks ago? The coloured tape that she put over the silver bands was just to help us more easily identify each bird in the nestbox and at fledge time,but I could be wrong. :)

I think it's Carson.
I believe it is Carson, from the markings on his head/face.  Also look at his breast feather markings, nice and small dark streaks -- a Carson breast!  Now just show us your little yellow talon band so we know for sure!!  :D
