don't know Leana. all I know is what I just posted. I am trying to figure out who that is. It must be Bea I guess. But the dancing around with that food on the feet it sure acted like an adult. Cant see yellow feet, but then again everything is black and white  in the cam . Oh, some one just flew in over the top of the other birdie as big as you please.  Maybe there was a food drop earlier and Bea got hold of it while on the ledge. I dont know.  :o

I've been out all day (not even at work so I couldn't keep up with the happenings!)... from what I have read from the posts it looks like Bea still hasn't left home again (aside from her 9sec flight yesterday).  Is this right?  Anybody know?

well eating food on the nest box edge, thats different for a juviee? Oh, now whoever it is, just flew to the ledge with food, just like it was nothing. no screeching, or anything. have juvies all flew off. This is weird cause either Cade or Carson was sitting on the edge and 2 or 3 minutes later, I heard the noise, and looked and this bird was acting like it just flew in with food on its feet and so on.. Wow things sure happen fast.  ;)

Very interesting to see Beatrix eat her prey.
At first I thought she had hurt her foot,
but then I saw the tender morsel she was holding on to.

my goodness, one minute there was a juvie sitting there the next, lots of flapping and screeches , and someone ( looks like ) they just landed with food. lots of flapping, and balancing, with food definitely attached to feet, now turned around a bit eating said food.  Is that Ivy? and if so where did other little birdy go? what in the world?

Where are all our kids? Anyone know? I see one on the nextbox edge. Think that is Cade. Did any of them go flying today?  :)

In The Project section of the forum, there is a thread
Ask the Peregrine Chick
New to the Forum & have a question? CLICK HERE!
If you post your question here, it makes it easier for TPC to see and respond to you. In the Radisson thread it can easily become lost with all the other posts. Hope this helps you.

Not so sure that there would be a terrible aroma coming from the nest box in that there are only feathers and bones left once the falcons have eaten.   ;)
TPC, I have a question for you.  When the falcons migrate south, do they go in "single" mode or do they form a flock of more than one falcon? Do the chicks follow their parents?  And do the falcon pairs go together?
I remember when I lived in SouthWestern Ontario, there was only a single falcon who swooped down and took a dove from our feeder.  It was fall time so no chicks to feed and it was definitely an adult peregrine falcon.  I have been fascinated by these raptors ever since.  :)

Very good question, RaptorGal! A need to know question. I have often thought about this very thing but never asked it of TPC and the PFRP. Education is a good thing for all of us.  :-*

There's a juvie on top of the Rogers bldg  (on top of the machinery).  No parents in sight....
Do you have your sight scope with you Pam? That's an amazing distance to see, from your office window! :o Lucky you! 8)

With the temps here for the next 5 days going way over 30 degrees, I would imagine the aroma coming from that nextbox will be a little......pungent??   :-X ::)

Someone is in the ledge-cam corner - can't tell who.  No one in the box right now.
