Not specifically GMG.  We used to have a nestsite at the University of Manitoba but they have been doing alot of work on their buildings over the last 10 years and since the site was being used, when it came time for that building to be worked on, we removed our very old nest/hackbox.  Last year I was interested in replacing the box, but there was work nearby that would be too much of a disturbance so we deferred it again.  We are looking at the possibility again though and maybe it will be quiet enough now to see what we can pull off.

Just as a note, we had a nestbox in West Winnipeg for 15 years and we never had a nest there.  Though I like to think positively and believe that if we install a box, they will come, it is not always the case.  What helps with this site is that once upon a time, it did appeal to peregrines - we had a pair nest there for three years back in the 1990s.  Nothing after that but we'll get one back on site yet.

--- Quote from: gemcitygemini on March 17, 2011, 12:23 --- :-*   Thank you, Saorise for bringing me up to par for what could, in fact, happen. We definitely need more nestboxes. Winnipeg is fast becoming a falcon magnet city.  :)
