Perhaps she doesn't like the way that interloping 'flousy' rearranged the pebbles :P

Princess is on the west-side sign preening her tail feathers. Not sure where Ivy has gotten to, he was on the edge of the box in a patch of sun the last I saw him (about 15 minutes ago).

Is it actually anytime now for the first egg?

It is bcbird. Last year I believe first egg was laid on the 17th, last on the 23rd. (will double-check my records when I get home)
At present I'm watching Princess prowl around the nestbox, peering in corners, glaring at individual pebbles, then practically wearing off her breast feathers as she slides breast-first along the gravel (will be sure to post a video of that tonight). And then she snottily "looks" at the camera, which is just an optical illusion because she's actually looking out of the box with one eye rather than looking straight ahead at the camera. Still looks like a snotty look though. ::)

The Peregrine Chick:
She was in the box shortly after 0930 this morning and he is continuing his vigil on the nestbox edge, with quick trips off periodically to do I'm not sure .... ;)
