Radisson - 2011 / Ivy & Princess

He's been gone for a good few hours ... could have gone further afield to hunt ... or he could have been up on the roof making sure that no-one was getting near his kids. He's very quiet so you don't hear him yelling like you can hear Princess at the moment. Speaking of which, she just took a fly by at someone up there, I recognize the swing in the sound as she swoops ...
The Peregrine Chick:
1146 hrs
One of the adults is in full-blown miffed mode by the sound of the protest calls. The bird is away from the nestbox so could be on one of the towers above the nestbox. Its the kind of sound s/he makes when we are go out on the roof for banding, so someone is protesting some work on the rooftop it sounds like. The Hotel did talk to whomever was working earlier and reminded them to keep away from the box and to keep the noise to a minimum. One advantage with her protesting is that it should attract Ivy from wherever he is. Yup, just got a clear sound and that is definitely Princess royally annoyed at something!
Can't see her flying on any of the other camera angles so she's overhead ...

I think Princess is up on the roof somewhere squaking at/for someone! The chiklettes have all quited down. Has Ivy gone awol? When was he last seen? She is still really squaking.
The Peregrine Chick:
1115 hrs
Princess is on the box edge looking for Ivy and the meal. She's calling as are the chicks at this point. The chicks are making more fuss than she is but I think she's getting quite testy that Ivy is late ... hope he has really good take-out or even better, more than one!!
And off she goes ... didn't see Ivy in camera range but maybe she did ...
And she's back again yet again without a meal ...

I don't know why I never hear the chicks. Have no problem with hearing Princess as she encourages the wee ones at meal times. I know my hearing has dimmed somewhat but when there is no background noise at home I don't have a problem. Perhaps it is the pitch of sound! Would love to hear them ::)
