Just witnessed a feeding frenzy - the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. Ivy brought in a nice sized chunk which should have made a nice snack for everyone, right? Ivy barely brought it into the nest when one chick ran off with the whole piece. S/he and a sibling proceeded to rip into it while the other chicks shrieked. Ivy did manage to get the meal back and held it in place with both claws. He tried to rip it apart as fast as he could while trying to prevent the same chick from taking it away from him. The chick did eventually win. At that point Princess dropped in and Ivy gave up. Poor Ivy! Those chicks are getting so strong. They won't need their parents tearing their meals apart much longer. ;D
Kinderchick:
The Kinderchicklets will be participating in their school Children's Festival tomorrow morning so won't be in their classroom to watch the Radisson banding. Darn! :( But I have told them that we will likely be able to watch the video that Eye-Spy will be making. Right E-S? :-*
The Peregrine Chick:
The plan is to tape the banding and ideally have it posted to our YouTube Channel within 24 hours ...
But Eye-Spy is our technical wizard so I'm going to defer to him as to how it will happen as I really don't know how he is going to rig the system for the event.
