I just home from downtown and read the news. Beatrix fledged just as I was getting on the bus to head down there. Got downtown just after 8:00. Explains why I didn't see a feather or hear a squawk when I got there. Circled the MTS a couple of times and wandered down by Air Canada but didn't see anyone or any birds. Headed back home at 9:45 and glad to hear that she fledged, hope you can report where she ended up soon.

I thought I saw a falcon flying quite low at Assiniboine Park around 8:20 this morning. Didn't have my glasses on so couldn't see if it was a Peregrine or not. Actually not even positive it was a falcon...<gr>(It was a bird though...lol
Do the Raddison adults come out this far or could it have been one of the West End birds?
You are all welcome for the image file, I hope it helps people who don't know the downtown area figure out what is going on.
I will send an updated one to TPC with Fifes garage on it sometime soon.

Thank you so much Rcf for capturing her fledge on video. All videos you have posted have been incredible. Before I left this morning, she was so calm. You caught her revving her engine and she took flight. Again, thank you! :-*

Just got to the computer, RCF -- and there's your video of Beatrix fledging -- amazing! She took off so smoothly and seemingly without effort -- no hesitation at all; you'd think she'd been doing it all her life! It'll be great to hear where she went and that she's okay.
