Mother Hen, I'm pretty sure it's the West Side Nestbox TPC has been checking - P&T probably know they're not allowed nesting on the East side ledge anymore.. :-\ - as for 'muffing' - seems to me maybe Tracy made that word up as I 'googled' it (yes I google everything  ;D) - and I can't find such a word. I'm guessing it means rubbing or patting or grinding their chests into the gravel?? ???

Mother Hen:
So Tracy
If they a "muffing" what ever that means are they doing it in the West side Penthouse or on the East side?? I am still hoping for at least one chick since you didn't bring one from Brandon.

Just had to pop in and say Hi and hope you are all hanging in there

still waiting here in Edmonton. I believe it is Day 32 of tight incubation of the second egg.  I said anytime after June 24 becasue of the first egg but I know they like them to hatch close so ..... I have to be out most of the morning so I hope they wait for me but I am thinking tomorrow or the weekend.  she sure is checking and moving a lot though.  Not knowing what to expect I guess.

The pics sure do prove being in the right place and snapping at the right time for a great progression of shots, but can it really be true the heron flew away unharmed?  :-\  It looks to me like there was definite contact between the two birds, especially since the heron was on it's back and falling. I actually thought one of its wings looked really injured...would the peregrine attack and leave? I do really hope the heron survived once it landed!      They are amazing photos, but I can't help but worry for the heron!   :(

Yeah, it's getting late for TPC to get back on.  Probably can call it a night.  Sleep well Liz.
