Okay folks, we are in the final couple of days for the re-nest countdown.  If we don't get anything in the box by Monday, (and barring divine intervention from Horus) Princess and Trey won't be renesting this year.  I will be visiting the Hotel everyday over the weekend just in case.  Have to take photos of the east-side ledge as I need the zoom function to be able to see the ledge in any kind of detail, so I will post the photos so you all can see.

Maybe if we are very lucky, we will be able to celebrate Canada Day with Princess & Trey!

Both Princess and Trey were on the east-side of the Hotel (he was on the ledge, she was on the sign) at 1845 hrs on Thursday.  Hung out for a long time, then she took off for parts unknown and he hung around until after I left.

Neither did I.     We know they're still here.... where are they hiding?  Maybe went back to the beach -- it was a pretty nice day, even with the clouds!

Well I figured if I was going to tell MH my guess on what 'Muffing' is - I'd better check first in case I was totally off base!

Actually, they are just sort of playing in the box and messing (or "muffing") up the scrape in the box.  Imagine digging a hole in your garden for a plant and the neighbour's kid, cat, dog, squirrel comes and knocks the sides a bit or plays in it and the nice neat sides/bottom/edges you made are now kind of "muffed" up.

Can't believe you googled it BallyWing, now you are going to make me paranoid about my words!!  Actually, I tend to put quotations around words that are made-up, if that helps.


And yes:  box = west-side nestbox; ledge = east-side nestledge
