Good Day, All...

I read the ending to the adventure earlier this morning.  I cannot describe the sadness I was feeling.  Not sadness for the human side, but sadness for the two little chicks.  They weren't going to get the opportunity of being raised by Trey and Princess as everyone had hoped.  (Tracy et al, in particular).

I am glad that they are back safe and sound in Edmonton, and I do hope their little lives progress as best can be.

So many of you have said the things that I want to say, that I won't repeat them.  It seems we all feel very much the same about these wonderful creatures.  It does a body good, doesn't it?

Eagle63, that was very brave of you to share your thoughts with us.  It reinforces the value of the human spirit while providing encouragement that there are a lot of very wonderful and kind people in the world.  We seem to always hear about the not so wonderful ones...

The only thing left to say at this particular moment in time for me, is to thank whole-heartedly, everyone involved in this venture - be it by Tracy and her "crew", CBC, The Radisson, and all you folks on this blog.  Bravo!

I truly have enjoyed the 'roller-coaster' that we have shared.  The happy times mixed in with the sad - which is what real life is all about.  The comaraderie that has formed, is something that all of you will hopefully treasure for a long time to come...

Yeah SBG was telling me about the webcams from the land down under, certainly would be grateful for the links to that too, like I need another webcam to watch like I need another hole in my head ::)

Eagle, we still have the Radisson baby to enjoy and Australia's peregrine season is going to get started in the next few weeks...it's almost spring for them so their cycle is opposite to ours and will run until November I believe.  Break for Xmas and then Spring will come again and hopefully P&T will come back.  There is a good cam down there I can refer but will do so once the pain of this loss has eased for all.

Tracy, in recounting the battles for territory..are alot more of the young ones coming back home once they reach maturity and hence the sudden popularity of sites?  Or is that there are too few options available for them?  I agree with you, it's sad that we had 3 opportunities for breeding lost with 3 moms, even more so as one died  :(  Given we're not out of the woods yet for having a healthy population, it would have been nice to have a place to call home for all of them.  Is there anything we can do to help that situation?

Pchemist:
I anticipate the "social zone" getting a lot of use as we keep in touch until next spring!  Maybe we could suggest some topic areas?  Like recipes, book recommendations, etc?
