well according to the bird books I have Peregrines range from 15-21 inches so Trey would be in that range. But Tracy would be able to better answer the question  :)

Can anyone estimate Trey's length, head to tip of the tail?    ???

I'm surprised to see Trey so much today! I don't think I've ever seen him sit on the chicks this long (at least not at this time of day). He seems to be doing a pretty good job of shading the chicks, especially since he's so much smaller than Princess. Good work Trey!  ;D

Trey is doing more housecleaning (with his wings out-stretched) leaving the little ones unshaded.  The UV forecast for Winnipeg today is 8 or very high so my guess is he is trying to keep them from getting sunburn!

It must be OCD!

Yep Trey is getting obsessive again about nest cleaning until the young ones start squawking, "Hey Dad aren't you forgetting something?"

hmmm what is Trey doing now, more housecleaning? The young ones sure move when the parent moves. Come on Dad sit back down. Not that he can get them all under him anymore lol

Still waiting to see mom and dad at the same time.    ???

I have seen each one, and the chicks, but not both parents together.   :(

I have one real problem watching the falcons - relating them to their actual size.   ::)

Would it be possible at some point to sneak a one foot ruler or something like that into the "edge" of the picture frame, without disturbing the birds?

I've seen the pin feather picture of T2, being held, and that was my first realization of exactly how big these guys (and gals) really are.

Good afternoon everyone!!!!! Really hope I'm getting this posting right!!!! I enjoy reading all the posts and the updates from the nest. Was out this morning and missed feedings...just checked in and all is quite.Great viewing of the Minnesota nest yesterday...babes were left alone a bit while Mom(I think) was out on the ledge for a break...three chicks and an egg.One babe was in the corner and much as Mom tried to get him/her back to the fold..no luck..but she found the method....food...it was so cute to watch him making hs/her way back for the food. We are so lucky to have this opportunity to be this close to nature....thanks to all....really appreciated.

Hoping to catch a feeding this pm.

Take Good Care
one and all

Thankfully they won't be able to get any on the camera this year!

That was pretty good aim for a chick of 5 days of age.  And projectile pooping has always been a favourite for our younger viewers!  ;D

skygirl, that's the 2nd or 3rd time I've seen both Trey and Princess in viewing range of the camera and yeah you can see quite a difference. Yes it's Trey on duty at the moment. LMAO one of the chicks just shot poop over towards the wall to the right.

Snack and a shift change.  It isn't hot out today (it was 9C / 48F as I came into work) that ledge is nice and sunny so the chicks will need to get shaded if anything.  Great day for them to get out from under their parents.  Could be some good viewing up until about 1pm this afternoon when the shadow of the Hotel will shade the ledge.  I'll also see if I can't save the video clip from this last feeding as Princess was feeding from the side and you could easily see all three chicks sitting up.

Wow.  Raw meat, this early.  All of a sudden Princess got up and left the babies.  She came back with a larger chunk, and started tearing it to pieces and holding it up for the kids.

Princess would hold relatively small bits in her beak and the children would try to put them in their mouths.  I'd imagine they got some off each chunk before mom consumed the tidbit.

It was my first time to see both birds.  Now that I have seen them together, I can see the size difference.  The bird on the nest is Trey, I think.
