Radisson - 2008 / Trey & Princess

deedream:
Well looks like Mom and chicks survived another wild night in Winnipeg.  She is hunkered down with chicks all under her, head facing camera, keeping her head low to the ground most of the time.  Either sleeping or trying to keep chicks shielded from the wind and weather.  Probably a bit of both.  Tracy mentioned yesterday they can't thermoregulate there body temp, until around 10 days, so we are not out of the woods yet.  Certainly if something happens we can't say it is lack of due diligence on Princess or Treys part. Be ole Mother Natures fault.  Fingers crossed that her almost constant brooding and care will continute to provide the necessary warmth(considering the temps lately) for them to thrive.  :) :) :)

Falconista:
Looks like the fog has cleared up a bit but it still seems pretty windy right now. Not as bad as yesterday but I can see feathers blowing around. Looks like being up in that corner is working well for them. Princess has the little ones tucked under quite well although before she shifted around I could see three little tails sticking out from under her head.

Moonstar:
I look out the window here and there is no fog and yet you can't see anything on the camera.  It is a bleak dreary morning out there tho.  I guess the fog is downtown.  Hope I get to see the little ones before I go to work.  I look forward to reading everyone's updates thru the day.

It is 9 degrees with a SE 19KM wind gusting to 30KM.  So I imagine Princess has the chicks covered very well.  It is not raining right now, not in the south end of the city anyhow.

Have a great day everyone.

Loriann:
HHHHHHOOOOOORRRRRRRRNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN !!

Fog this morning?  Can't see a thing... so not much of an observation.

:'(  Hope this morning finds everyone well, both feathered or otherwise.  It's Wednesday !.. we're half way there.

Oh, and our wee ones are being banded this morning here in Mississauga.  If they post any pictures or video I'll post them here later... however, they are not nearly as diligent as Tracy in posting updates and pictures, so we may have to wait.

Happy Hump Day everyone.

Lori.   ;D

Liz:
I sure hope so too!
