Radisson - 2008 / Trey & Princess
Falconista:
Oh my gosh those poor birds! The ledge is a little lake with one soggy looking bird sitting in the corner. I hope the chicks are doing ok under there. Oh my heart breaks for them but I know they will be alright. Hopefully the weather will settle down a bit so the little ones can dry out! If this doesn't convince them that the nextbox would have been a better nest site then I don't know what will!

That pools of water makes me wonder what is going on under the parents. It's not just the chicks that are stressed. The parents have to spread out their feathers and try to cover and warm the chicks, when there may be water pooled under the parent. Heating all that to keep the chicks alive has to be a stress on the parents.
In addition, from my experience as a hunter, game tends to go to ground, find the dryest spot they can and huddle under the best water protection they can get. Game is not behaving like normal, and from the parents perspective, a lot harder to find and get. We've seen how often the chicks want to feed (anyone with teenagers knows this one really well), so that's another stressor for the parents.
Whichever parent this is, and from the coverage I would guess Princess, has headed for the high ground and put walls almost all around to cut down on wind. Still, it is a wet, miserable day to be a parent.
All that said, falcons survive. Before we get too worried about the weather, here is a video link to a falcon in a dive from a National Geographic production.

OH MY STARS!!! Just checking back in...it looks miserable there.....but I'm sure Princess is keeping them nice and dry...but feeding? This is the first streaming cam I've watched where the parent and kids have been exposed to the elements...maybe Trey could feed while Princess serves as an umbrella...

It looks like the weather is nasty there.. will keep all the small bits crossed for the 'kids'...
I looked at the camera first thing this morning ( 6 am Toronto time) and the moisture was just ooozing down the lens.
