--- Quote from: Falconista on June 06, 2008, 09:23 ---By my count the chicks are only 9 days old. I'm just wondering how likely it is that they are going to be able to thermoregulate themselves well enough at this point to make sure they don't freeze in all that cold water. I know they have their mother for warmth but I'm sure she's pretty cold up there too! :(

I'm with you on that...I don't want to go down the path of alarmist..but I'll go ahead and say it....I'm ready for some type of intervention...not sure that's possible though...so we'll just have to hope for a positive outcome...and a load of gravel once this is over....gotta give them some "higher" ground...I keep trying to remind myself that falcons have survived in the wild on cliff ledges in must worse conditions...tho' this one is pretty intense...

I wonder if in the rescue attempt will they move them to the nest box?
eagle63_1999:
Tracy just posted anote in the main frame saying they were going to attempt to rescue the chicks, omg I have never felt my heart in my throat the way it is right now.
