Manitoba Peregrines > Radisson Peregrines
Radisson - 2008 / Trey & Princess

You have Pelicans in Manitoba? I'm envious now, I need to get out there some day!
The Peregrine Chick:
It was wonderful meeting IRL all the folks I have been "talking" and "listening" to here on the Forum. You were a great audience and I'm sorry :-[ I didn't let y'all get a meal or get back to work on time. You had such great questions! And we did miss you Mother Hen when you vanished! Sorry about the peregrines not putting in an appearance, not doing many of the things I've asked them to this year ...
As for an after-work get together, fine with me, most evenings are free with a little advance warning.
As an idea, I might be able to get the Hotel to put together a small box lunch-like meal for us and if they let us, we could sit out on the balcony at the back of the Hotel, if the birds turn up we could see them. If you all are interested, I could talk to the hotel and see if its possible and how much it would cost.
Or we could see about making a reservation at the restaurant that has the patio on the roof on the other side of the MTS Centre/City Place - 'fraid I don't know the name of it. Again, with good weather we could sit outside and keep an eye out.

OH my poor neck!!!!! LOL Anyways Tracy is just amazing.Man does she know about Peregrines and other birds, as she noticed a group of Pelicans fly over.......It was pelicans wasn't it? However I had to get back to work so I left as we get only 1/2 hour lunch.I will keep a lookout for Trey and Princess at the Radisson. I like the interesting line of parentage on the other page. Tracy do you have this all written down or do you such a good memory you don't need to have this all written. Amazing and I hope they are around for ever.

I bastardized my geneaology software to be able to track all the relationships of our birds ... actually, hope to be able to expand it to include all the birds we know about in North America ... a girl's got to have a hobby ;D after all!

--- Quote from: Pam on July 09, 2008, 19:40 ---It was lots of fun, and very informative. I'm sure there were more than a few folks wondering why we were having this 'outside forum' going on in front of Mountain Equipment Coop & especially why it warranted our very own photographer!
I had another look at the sign back at work and am really not sure if it was Princess or Trey - Tracy did tell us which side of the sign they each prefer - guess I'm not a very good student! Definitely a peregrine, and on the right-hand side under the "N" - so, Tracy, what do you think??

Probably Princess. Trey still prefers the ledge and the "R" end of the sign

--- End quote ---
I can manipulate the camera remotely from my computer over the internet. Actually, both the spy-cam and the camera we used to watch the nest ledge can be remotely operated. Had the chicks survived y'all would have had lots of movement by this time as the chicks would be moving around alot ... and Larry would have used the camera to track us while we banded the chicks. The cameras I can't manipulate are the ones at the nestbox, they are fixed in place. Because they are so close to the birds we didn't want them to be able to disturb the birds any so they make no noise and they don't move.
