Grelber posted this link to a good picture of the site.

Take a look at it to see what rescue really requires.  They are over the little window sticking out of the wall facing the camera.

The drains are working some, the bubbles from raindrops hitting the pool head into the drain.  Unfortunately man made drains get clogged - just think about the street drains until all the last autumn leaves have all been disposed of.  These drains are having to deal with a family of falcons, feathers from the family and dinner, etc., as well as run off from the side of the building above the roof.

Let's follow what Tracy asked:

Am attempting to organize rescue of chicks under difficult environmental conditions.  Will let you all know what happens as and when I have time.

Please do not contact CBC, Radisson Hotel, Manitoba Conservation or myself.  We are all working on it as fast as we can.

Tracy
Project Coordinator
Peregrine Falcon Recovery Project

If a rescue is attempted, please pray for those going out into the rain and wind gusts that high up.  Think about what the family of whomever goes would feel, having a loved one in danger to try to save hatchlings.  Let's send prayers and most of all not let our concerns for the hatchlings make the situation more dangerous or harder for anyone else.

Just keeping praying for the best outcome, that chicks are alive and rescuers safely succeed in the rescue attempt.

Me too...I hate to admit this...but I think I'm gonna throw up....just kidding...but I've got so many butterflies in my stomach I can't stand it...I'm curious about the white van too...if the chicks are still with us, they are gonna have to be warmed quickly...

I was thinking the same thing deedream when I first saw it but I saw the driver get something out of the back and go acrossed the street. My guess is it's a courier.

Yeah, I'm not really sure what's going on right now. Not much happening but maybe that truck we see is the rescue team, who knows. I think they opened the back of it but I'm not sure what they're doing. I can't take much more of this waiting! Rain is still coming down steadily and Princess is barely moving.

I wonder if that cube van that came and backed up and is sitting there is the rescue team?

A rainfall warning is in effect for Winnipeg. Environment Canada website (http://www.weatheroffice.gc.ca/warnings/report_e.html?mb9) has this to say:

"A strong low pressure system in North Dakota is streaming a lot of moisture into southern Manitoba this morning. As of 9:30 AM, reports from south Winnipeg and glenlea indicate over 40 mm of rainfall. Before the first band of rain ends near 11:00 AM, some areas around the Red River Valley will have received 50 mm of rain or more. This may cause some local flooding, especially in low-lying areas.

This afternoon, some more rain is possible, as thunderstorms form south of the border and move north. Environment Canada is monitoring this situation very closely and will update this warning throughout the day."

If you want to check where the rain is check the radar: http://www.weatheroffice.gc.ca/radar/index_e.html?id=XWL

So hopefully the rain will let up in about half an hour and then they can get them before the thunderstorms this afternoon! Keep praying folks!

Cam just zoomed out. The whole ledge is flooded.
Very neat to be able to see what else is going on around the building though.

WOW...soo that's where they are....I hope this means they are getting close to rescue...
