Check the size - he's smaller than her.  Also, check how dark the head looks - his will be much darker than hers.

Now if you can see him Mother Hen, he's on the west side, looks like I'm going to have to check the nestbox and see if they have been attacking the chick-proof bars or if they have just been investigating the mess the chicks made when they were there.

Would you all mind if I moved/renamed this topic to the July 9th entry - might make it easier for folks to find it and maybe encourage a few extra to come join us after work sometime ...

Let me know what you think ...

The Peregrine Chick:
Watching the news or checking out the story on the CTV Website wasn't a requirement  :)  just letting y'all know in case you were interested.  I missed the newscast, had an appointment so I'm glad someone saw it!    I figured it would be short since it was over the phone, but it does sound like they covered most of the information I provided them with, which is great since I think they really only wanted to know if Trey & Princess were renesting ... Thanks CTV!!!

As for whether the chicks were alive when they were rescued, there may have been one that was alive when Kyle picked her/him up, but it was hard to say.  The reason they died is because of the cold - they got too wet to keep warm, so when they got to us, they were pretty cool, one perhaps a little less cool than the others but we did try to revive them all, as you know already.    That little tidbit they got from Kyle and he is the one who saw the first, so I feel no need, well actually, don't want to contradict him, he may be right and the chicks did die on the way down ...

Mother Hen:
One of my neices works there part time(at the Peregrine Room) as a waitress as she is a student at the U of W. Her school posting as not sure what they call it is right next door in the attached building. She was taken up to the roof a couple of years ago to see things but no Peregrines at that point in time.Maybe Tracy or some one who works a the Radisson can take us up next time. Was it a pelican flock we saw??? I dont want to sound crazy!
