Radisson - 2008 / Trey & Princess
Loriann:
We have no resident rodents here anymore... no squirrels, and no ground dwelling critters... we have a family of merlin falcons that nest in the neighbors pine tree.. waaaaaaaaaaaaaay up ... and when she moved in, the critters moved out .. or she ate them... but we have no squirrels.. and they used to nest in our maple.
Nice that you have such a wonderful array of beasties... !
do you think you could point your web cam out the window.. we're all suffering withdrawl.. lol

I sure wish we could still see the cams. At least we could sometimes catch sight of
T&P. If they do lay eggs on the same ledge would they be moved? Not wanting to see another June downpour repeat.

G'day fellow Phanatics,
While I am busy doing major housecleaning I've been thinking about Trey and Princess and the phanatics.

wow, really quiet guys! :) Its a nice day here in NB. 23C and sunny. Nice breeze. Put some striped black sunflower seeds out awhile ago for a couple of mourning doves that were scrounging for food. Ummm, but unfortunetly my resident chipmunks have been busy carrying it all away to there underground stash! Mr red squirrel must be busy elsewhere as there have been no fights or wild chases yet today. Refilled my hummingbird feeder this morning as well, seems to be a healthy number of them around. A downy woodpecker seems to like the trees in my front yard best. Haven't sighted the loons yet today. Songbirds seem quieter than normal, been wondering if a hawk or owl is nesting nearby. We had an owl last summer living almost directly across from me in the hardwoods. May go down by the water later and sit a spell. I'll let you all know if i see anything exciting! ;) :)

Glad to hear from Mother Hen, and that Trey and Princess are still there. I do hope that Princess is getting her energy levels replenished if she is getting ready to nest again. My she was one worn out bird I thought! I feel bad for all the peregrines lost so far this year, imagine the ones we don't even know about!! Probably lots of falcons renesting this year. I do hope our extreme weather will be kinder to them this time around.
