Princess and Ivy hunt for birds and they kill them in the air. They like birds from about the size of a pigeon to the size of small duck and sometimes they catch them because they can fly faster, sometimes they fly way up high and dive down on them from above - its a bit like a lion hunting on the plains of Africa, but instead of sneaking up on their prey, they can get up very high so their prey can't see them then they dive down and they hit it on the neck with their feet which kills it very quickly. They have to be very quick after they have killed their prey, its better if they can catch it before it drops to the ground - its hard to carry something when you have to fly upwards from the ground!
