birdcamfan:
Do they ever breed during their winter vacation?

Shocka88:
Very interesting......anxious to hear more.  :)

Saoirse:
If this is something you've not seen before, it must be unusual -- will be really interested to hear more as you learn more.

The Peregrine Chick:
Yesterday while Dennis and I were "snooping" on the birds, we discovered a rather unusual visitor in the West Winnipeg territory.  It was/is a young peregrine near to the Bed & Breakfast.  The bird was hanging out and while Dennis was able to get some photos we can't say if it had bands or anything like that, it wasn't quite that cooperative.  What we can say is that it looks like a juvenile male peregrine falcon.  I use the term juvenile specifically because the bird looks just like our chicks at fledge age.  At this time of the year, I would expect to see a bird with adult or adult with some juvenile features, but this bird was brown and gold, no white, no black, no slate grey.  Not something I've seen before.  Anywho, going to farm the question out to those who know more about it than I and will let you know what I hear ...

The Peregrine Chick:
Bird on the Diner this am ... looked smaller than Jules ... proper corner though ... Ivy maybe? Another male maybe?
