West Winnipeg - 2010 / Beau & Jules

RCF:
Thanks for the great photos, Dennis  :)

The Peregrine Chick:
1600 hrs (local) - two of the chicks have been asleep in the nestbox for the last hour - keeping out of the sun.  One of the adults dropped by and was sitting on the roof of the box then jumped down to take a drink from a puddle on the roof a bit beside the nestbox.  First time I've seen any of our birds do that at this site ... with the rain we've had, that shallow puddle comes and goes ...

The Peregrine Chick:
One of the chicks was hanging out in front of the box cam after the rain ... funnily enough, no one in the box during the rain, just one after the rain.

Interestingly, Annie was the one hanging out by herself yesterday on camera ...

I must have just missed bccs, dennis & eye spy!!

When I visited the site today the only bird I spotted was the ledge wanderer (Nero?) off all alone, farthest from where the others like to hang out.  I guess that sometimes a bird just needs a little alone time.

I didn't see any one else closer to the camera and perch, and there was no one flying around so I think it may have been afternoon nap time.  They would be smart to be in the shade, the temp is currently 28, humidex is 33, definately a hot day!

Nice breeze here today but not too windy.

I think you're right about Nero, www, he seems to hang out by himself at the end of the ledges a lot.
Sorry I/we missed you yesterday. If it doesn't rain tomorrow morning, like it did today, I'll be out just because I like the birdies. ;D    Usually 9-12 or there abouts.
