Radisson - 2009 / Trey & Princess
bccs:
Just had a look out my balcony window from home, no bird or workmen. I'll check periodically and keep you posted.
The Peregrine Chick:
Thanks Mother Hen - figured you'd enjoy this little adventure since the kids have been hanging out on the east side of the building so much over the last couple of days ;)
Mother Hen:
13:00 and no fly bys or workmen ducking for cover!
The Peregrine Chick:
Hey Gang, perhaps going to have a little fun this afternoon. There will be some work done on the tower on the roof of the Radisson this afternoon, and maybe again later if they don't get it all done today (hope they get it all done today). I've spoken with the guys doing the work (they are installing a bit of tech) and they know not to go near the nestbox and to work quietly and quickly on the tower. When they visited last, Trey watched them suspiciously from the tower, while the female (who is probably Princess ;)) did a fly-by or two. They understand that we are nearing nesting time for these birds and that we, and now they, want to disturb the birds as little as possible. They are fans of the birds so they are happy to comply with all our requests and caveats (most of which are for their safety :D) but I don't know how Trey and his lady are going to respond. Yesterday, they gave Dennis and I the silent-and-absent treatment, so hopefully they will do the same with these guys. But maybe they won't.
So, for those of you who can see the building, could you please occasionally look out your windows this afternoon and if you wouldn't mind posting what you see - i.e., birds flying around the tower pummelling some poor workman Or napping on east side sign totally ignoring all and sundry Or otherwise engaged on the JR sign - you get the idea. I'll be checking the spycam but I can't see above or west ....
Now unfortunately I can't write a note to your bosses so don't put your jobs in peril - don't want to be responsible for you losing your jobs during an economic downturn :o - how would you possibly then be able to order a 2009 special edition teeshirts ;D
But seriously, appreciate the help!
