Radisson - 2009 / Trey & Princess
bccs:
TPC, just before the shift change, I had to go to another office and I looked up and there was one of them perched on the south end of the ledge tucked up by the building. This is out of range of the cam, so if I see this again, I'll post right away and you may catch the change.
The Peregrine Chick:
1020 hrs (local) - shift change on the eggs, Trey is now on duty and Princess is off galavanting. I did manage to catch a few photos and you should be able to see the size differences between the two, as well as another clear shot of the eggs. He hasn't started housekeeping yet, so you can tell the boredom phase of incubating hasn't begun yet :D
Pam (if you are around of course!) - can you see Her Highness? She's probably off for a hunt (if Trey didn't bring her something at the shift change) and then she'll settle down for a long, detailled preen in one of her usual places. If she is, and if you are in, hope your camera came in with you ;)
The Peregrine Chick:
Quick note - next week CBC will be helping me with some coding to add a weather widget (that's one of those small current weather boxes) to the Forum, Blog, & Project webpage. We will also see about adding it to the webcam page as wel as it is difficult to tell what kind of weather the birds have from the limited view on the webcam - and because the Hotel blocks the sunlight for most of the day.
In the meantime, here's today's forecast: There doesn't appear to be any real wind right now (either on the cam or out my window), maybe just some air movement (there is always some in the downtown area - heat island effect) but Env Canada says wind is actually 13km/h (light) from the WNW so the Hotel would be providing some cover. Forecast is for 60% chance of showers in the afternoon, wind NW 20 km/h (so maybe not much change there), high of 8C.
Kinda nice to see it easy for them, even if its only for the morning ...
The Peregrine Chick:
0915 hrs (local) - Not sure who is napping on the eggs as they are facing north and have their head tucked under their wing. Might be Princess, I think I can see her "crown" but can't be sure. This is serious sleeping. Will take photos through the day and start posting later.
