Doesn't Trey want way more time on the chicks than he gets, as I recall?  (I should prob stop sayng that. lol) Maybe that's one of the reasons he stubbornly stayed on the eggs all day -- get it while you can!  I mean, surely he had an urge at some point to go... relieve himself.  Stretch his wings.  Get a bite to eat.   ;D

The Peregrine Chick:
1945 hrs (local) - looks like Trey on the nest but can't be sure the light is too flat to see markings on the head.  But by size ...  Who ever it is they are all dried out and napping in the gravel with only the occasional gust of wind whipping around the corner to fluff up their feathers.  If you look carefully around the bird, you can notice the gravel looks less brown/more pale beige - that's the "dry" spot where whomever was incubating all day long ....

Taken in the last 5 minutes ....

Rain has stopped, they say for the night and none forecasted for tomorrow.  Wind is still gusting up to 60 km/h but Hotel is helping with that and it is suppose to die down to practically nothing later this evening.

Oops, adult on eggs has perked right up ... definitely Trey, black head, broad white breast ... little adjustment of eggs and they look fine.  He's doing the head shake so definitely our little Rockstar.

Not as high up as we'd like!!!! - I think it's about 12 floors up.. ???... while the WEST NEST is about 30 stories.

Thanks for catching this, ballywing.  I meant to answer yesterday, but got caught up in the rest of the chatter.  I believe it's 13th floor, but we know how good my memory is!  lol  I have a beautiful, unobstructed view of it from our window, altho from a few blocks away.  I'll actually be able to watch the 'safety net' for the ledge going in!  Not Pam's view of course, but..!

Hope that there was a shift change and Trey was able to get dried off.
From where I'm sitting, in my apartment with a glass of wine, it's no longer raining  ;D, for the moment!
Even though there was a LOT of rain today..and we all hated the fact that P & T chose that darn nestledge again, it's actually been wonderful for them today as TPC explained earlier.  The wind was driving the rain from the West and the wind is currently NW @ 43 km/h with no gusts!  The Radisson has provided shelter from the rain and wind on a really bad day in Winnipeg.
