I was thinking, just like a baby.  Everything goes in their mouth because that's how they learn at that age.  If you prevent them from putting things in, they lose a part of the learning process.  So here's our Princess -- she's only a few years past the expected time! LOL

She is too funny trying to bite the plastic.  She looked for second there as if she were listening, maybe to the 3rd egg? lol still testing the plastic lmao

Darn, hoping the plastic might deter her for next year. But maybe she might prefer a wooden condo with a roof in 2010.

She is way too funny with biting at the nest tray.  She also chewed away at the upper portion of the wood box on the West side nest tray.  Not sure if anyone remember that or not. 
Princess is obessed with biting at the nest and Trey is obsessed with cleaning the nest...This couple is just too perfect for each other  :P

Just a thought but maybe it's because plastic is not naturally occuring in the world of nature - just as glass windows aren't when the poor chicks slam into them - perhaps she's curious as to what 'plastic' is?  Maybe by biting on it she's being tactile and trying to figure out what the heck is this stuff?  It's also see through which must be a novelty to her.  Just trying to think like a bird  :P
