It has that effect on a person.......bet my hubby wishes I had a bin!!

Princess is sure doing her best to keep them warm. I see it was around 9:30 that they had their last snack so it shouldn't be long until lunch is served.

I think the cold weather is making Princess grumpy.  Good thing she can take it out on the bin, gnaw, gnaw, gnaw, grrrrrrrrrr.

Solo chick heap!! - Can't leave them too long in this ridiculous March ...er....June  weather!  'Hurry up Mom, it's coooooold in here!!!'

If the tray is going to be removed, I can't see it happening until they go up to band the chicks.  I think once they jump out of the tray they will just roam around on the ledge.  Maybe once they get better at jumping etc then they will go back in and out of the tray.

And if I may jump ahead - what happens when the chicks are big enough to jump out of the nest box but might not be able to jump back in? The ledge is a lot higher trying to get in. They might seperate themselves.

They just finished a snack and now they're all huddling to keep warm while mom gets rid of the remainder.

Only 5 degrees right now and really windy - doesn't look like anyone's getting blown around too much though - phew!!

8:49 am.  Looking kind of chilly on the ledge this morning.  Princess it doing her best to keep the wee ones covered from the wind but they think they need to be completely underneath her as they keep trying to burrow deeper under.  Just see two bums peeping out from mum's breast.  Hope it's going to be a bit warmer there than it is here today.

Good morning...I was in earlier, but only a blank screen also.
Gosh I wish this weather would give this family a break. So miserable for them..if its not rain its a chilly wind.
Looks like Trey is there with them now. Princess is out on a well deserved break. Hope the rain holds off for them at least for the weekend.
Will try to check in before I go out of town. Have a great weekend everyone.
