Radisson - 2009 / Trey & Princess
maggieblue:
Maybe they are saying, hey Dad, what are you doing up on the grate cover instead of down here keeping us warm?
bcbird:
Looks like the wriggly chick pile is getting downright restless. Maybe it's getting near feeding time.
ballywing:
Princess is a very good 'Chick Stuffer' !! ;D
The Peregrine Chick:
1346 hrs (local) - Princess is back and stuff chicks under her with a vengeance (good job!!!). All chicks undercover now. Still cold out and while they are now just at the age to be able to thermoregulate on their own, this kind of weather is not what they can handle for long periods of time. Not to worry, a bit of time out from under Mom/Dad won't hurt them at this stage in normal or close to seasonal, dry weather, but today is just too cold and windy so Princess is going to stay on them for most of the rest of the day I suspect. Tomorrow is suppose to have some sun (how much is up for debate apparently) but it will be twice as warm.
Tonight there is a risk of FROST!!!!! :'(
Small Monkey:
It looks like the one little guy has the right idea - he's trying to squeeze under his siblings :)
