I was waiting for your reply Tracy and truly I found it inspiring...so well said.I was one who wouldn't know a falcon if  pitched on my shoulder and now have an great appreciation  for them....really, they are remarkable.Being able to view them in the comfort of my own home is an experience that is difficult to express but so appreciated...thank you.

The weather's not so bad Pchemist, there's little or no wind and the sun is really trying to come out. It's just cooler than usual.
Going to plant my flowers this weekend regardless. But it would be nice to start wearing shorts. :(

I am so grateful that the anniversary weather is calm and all looks good.  That chickpile is pretty big under Princess!

Yes, pchemist, our sunny weather (finally smoke haze free) would be a lot nicer for Winnipeg.  Supposedly only getting to 23 here, though that is a relief from the past week.

I was just thinking.....On this 1 year anniversary of Black Friday  :'( - As much as last year's tragedy was horrible and never to be repeated (hopefully) - for this year, it makes me appreciate that much more - every day we get to watch these new kiddies and every day they grow & make us laugh & make us worry- and all the new friends we've made, our great leader TPC, etc, etc, etc.  ;D - ok that's it for the mushy mush.  :P

don't feel too bad, eagle - just a bit farther west and it's nice and warm.  wish I could send it to Winnipeg for P&T to enjoy.  (bcbird, I'm betting you are having pretty much what I am - slight chance of rain today (oddly) but otherwise going to be near 30C and fairly calm).

ewwwwwwwwwwwww

Gawd I feel for the folks out west. Yes let's hope it doesn't snow in Winnipeg. Princess and Trey are having a hard enough time keeping the growing kids covered.

Feedings have certainly changed in week haven't they? No more gently placing small morsels into open mouths. Now it is pulling off chunks as fast as possible to be grabbed, and tugs of war over big pieces. And this may have been the first "foot" feeding.  By that I mean that one of the chicks swallowed a leg.  I am always amazed that they can swallow those things without choking  :o It had a really big crop after that.  :D

Yes, Doreen, and even though they don't all get under anymore, her presence just calms the chicks right down.

It's so cute to see Princess try to stuff the 3 chicks under her.  ;D
