yikes, that was startling!  big meal (with wing) and some aggressively hungry chicks.  guess they need it; they've got a lot of growing to do!

Just checking in on that little pile of sleeping chicks... except for the one who appears to be preening and attempting to disturb the others. I am disappointed that I have not yet managed to observe any "poo poo" shooting across the nest ledge yet... I'm beginning to feel left out!

Back safe & sound guys. Good news weather wise, the clouds are breaking up in the north west and as we have a northwest wind blowing right now, it should clear up. Don't need all the doppler crap for this forcast, just a nice exxpansive prairie view. ;)

They must be part ostrich...after feeding and other daily disturbances, they take refuge in that little nook to the east of the tuppernest.

someone would have a LOT of explaining to do...   :o

I'm skipping reading those comments any more, blue-eyes.  in general it's just too frustrating for me.

I know P&T are nearby and keeping watch, but I did like it better when one of them was actually in cam view on the ledge with the kids.  made for a nice scene (aside from the poop streaks and roofing material, which, to be honest, is not what I would choose to decorate with).

[I would rather watch the Peregrines than Brad and Angelina any time]

I think Brad and Angelina would rather us watch the Peregrines then them.

supernurse007 made a comment about these chicks being watched by more people around the world than Brad and Angelina....good one!!! ;D and isn't that just fantastic.
I would go and post on the other comment section as well, but they won't let me 'cause my e-mail is already in use.....like...yeah.  I have too many passwords for every little thing....you just get tired of it all.

it is funny to watch them use wings to balance and prevent the faceplant part of the waddlestompfaceplantwalk.

heh.  after a bit of a waddlestompfaceplantwalk, another chick is getting its own snack.  third chick is in food-induced coma.  :)

It is amazing how he is holding it down with his foot and munching away.  I wonder if that is normal for this age?  One of the other chicks appears to be chewing on a piece of roofing material and chick number 3 with the huge crop has decided to have a nap.  :D

oh, one is trying to pull food off the remains - trying to sort out how to use feet and beak and getting a snack the others are missing.

and LOOK at that CROP!   :o
