Just before this latest close-up, I watched the chick by the drain cover take a stumble toward something on the ground. He flapped his wings wildly, trying to keep his balance, and he almost looked as though he knew what he was doing and might take flight. I know it's too early, but he did seem to be getting better control of the wings -- unlike the times when the wings seem to topple the chick. Now all three are gathered at the south end of the ledge, awake though not for long, I'm sure!
