There is a parent on the far side of the ledge holding out wings in parasol/umbrella/wind tunnel shape. Is there a chick over there too?

Well, the Kinderchicklets have left for home, but I will show them the tape tomorrow. They did get to see Larry moving the camera all over the place, though, and that was very exciting for them!!!  ;D I, in the other hand, am GLUED to my classroom computer! Pchemist, VERY cool that you will be on the radio this afternoon. For sure, I will be listening!!!  :D And NO, I had not noticed that I have hatched from an egg to a chick! Does that mean that I have made more than 100 posts?!  ??? WOW! Very funny, to see "Classroom Chick" under my name! (LOL) But then, as far as I'm concerned, I've always been a "classroom chick"! ;) I think I saw your rooftop perch this morning, bccs! Are you up there rifht now?!

I'm curious about that, too -- it's a south wind at 15 km right now, wouldn't think that would be enough to cause a problem.

I bet you!!!! they are waiting for that "East shining" Sun...to move on to the West side...will make going up a lot easier on the humans!  less heat to the added stress...now there's a good idea!
