You're welcome Helen...
This isn't the first time I've seen the falcons come into that area....it's just really cool to see them come into a residential area and to be able to see them and realize that it is in fact a peregrine falcon. No one else even looks up or realizes it....so, it's kinda cool for me. I'm just sayin' :D

thanks allikat
One never knows where our family will show up and give us excellent entertainment.

Well....this is an out of the ordinary post about observing our falcon family....
I was visiting my folks this evening and as we were sitting on the deck sipping wine after our meal, I looked up and saw Trey coming in...most likely for the last meal of the night. He was chasing a crow and he was not at all happy about what this crow did or perhaps just not at all happy that this crow was there and it annoyed him. It was a sight. The neighborhood was very quiet. Keep in mind folks that all day every day, you hear chickadees, finches, woodpeckers, robins, blue-jays, nut-hatches, goldfinches, cedar waxwings, wrens, kestrels and every kind of sparrow.
He chased the crow around the area then into a tree. Then Trey left. I was watching to see what would happen next because all of a sudden, there were four crows instead of one. So needless to say, I was watching closely to make sure our Rockstar flew off. The crows kept a watchful eye(s) as well but after a couple of minutes, it was over and everything was back to normal.
I've witnessed this before in this area and it's wonderful.....Just wanted to share it.
Mother Hen:
I have noticed that I am getting our regular vistor on the West nest these days.
Every day she is there. Always looking out in the world. Still think it is Vesper! Bright white chest of course could still be mom!
