Radisson - 2009 / Trey & Princess
The Peregrine Chick:
--- Quote from: Saoirse on June 19, 2009, 13:18 ---If we're having this much trouble distinguishing between Trey and Princess, we'll never be able to tell the chicks apart. Maybe Tracy should have daubed each of their heads with a different colour yesterday while she was there!

Wouldn't help you in 3 weeks as all that fluff will be gone ... :D
The Peregrine Chick:
--- Quote from: Jan on June 19, 2009, 12:00 ---For those of you who were wondering where "Mom" & "Dad" went durung the banding yesterday ---- they did a lot of flying around the legislative building & landing on the "Golden Boy" ---- they have a lot of faith in Tracy (as we all do)

Dennis tracked both adults during the banding and they were never more than a building away during the banding. Before and after however, I'm not surprised the were over at the Leg, its a great hunting location - always has been. Is particularly good for hunting teal - blue-winged and green-winged - as smaller ducks, Princess certainly can carry them, and depending on the size, so can trey. They also have been hunting up alot of shorebirds - you can see the long legs as they bring them in for the chicks ...
Copestone:
Some serious post-snack wing exercising going on there!
Did anyone else see that last feeding? Looked like one chick took off with the snack, sorta kinda tasted it, and decided it wasn't worth the effort of figuring out how to eat it.
Marie:
