True, there are some good things about the ledge I s'pose - but also more chances of landing in traffic, or smacking into a building during early fledges, plus this ledge is alot lower than the West Nest, so not as much time to get flight control before the ground. :-\

we'll have to wait for Eye Spy to get back from the drug store with his prescription ( for that urgent burning itch he has) and see if he will oh so kindly make us a wee show of the main attraction blowing on the corner .

I see another reason Trey and Princess might prefer the open ledge to the box. First there is a drain to anchor the kids as they exercise their wings. Second there is room for the now big wings to stretch without hitting anything overhead.
Maybe they are smarter than we give them credit for.
