Pchemist:
'snot a sad face, des - just a confused one. :)
Saoirse:
Hey Des, great to hear that you were out spotting Trey -- he's such a beautiful bird, isn't he? And I know exactly what you mean about falcon watch reminding you about downtown/buildings/looking up. :D
bccs:
Nice update, thanks Des. And I'm glad you got to see him :)
Did a quick tour around the Radisson this am, nothing to see but buildings.....AND BLUE SKY ;D ;D
des:
Sad face shouldn't have been in my last posting - must have been form at question marks I used - never a sad face when I spot a peregrine!
des:
Yesterday (Friday afternoon), I saw one of the falcons on the west nest taking in the sun. Then he(probably) took off as I crossed Main ( the moment my back was turned!) Then saw him flying onto the J in the Richardson building. I missed the middle part and could no longer see the west nest) so perhaps it wasn't the same one,
I looked back at posting #182 (thanks bccs) , thought about how white his breast looked on the west nest and figured probably Trey, but ??? Anyway good to get back downtown and see one of them.
A side benefit of this year's falcon watch - the downtown area is terrific and yesterday I went on one of the exchange tours - I've started appreciating the buildings and finding out about the history of some of them and
I now notiice birds way more than I used to - i.e. spending more time looking up!
Happy birding and all else everybody.
