nibs:
Did you see HotShot hack up the pellet? Poop shots, now pellets :D
Ellie:
Hot Shot looks in good form even though he can hear his sibs calling for him to come home. Perhaps he will figure out how to get there yet before night falls! Be safe!
Saoirse:
Thanks for the close-up of our little hot shot -- he looks very alone down there, while his two sibs hang out on the nest ledge. But I know that's just a human reaction . . . for all I know, he's feeling really pleased with himself for his day of solo flight!
Kinderchick:
WOW!!! Did you get a load of that wing span?! :o
Jo:
--- Quote from: carly on July 04, 2009, 17:54 ---Typically - they would want him to take a few flights and get up higher before they reward him with food. But if they see he's there at dusk then they will feed him to keep him there safe overnight. That's how our parents do it - I'm sure each falcon pair has their own strategy.
P&T are long time parents and they know what they're doing, it's harder for us than them ;)

Thank you for those comforting words! It is certainly harder on the lot of us - who'd have thought that these three little chicks could keep this many Winnipegers glued to their computer on a sunny Saturday! ;D
There is a link to a photo of the side of the Raddison that Willmax11 posted - page 20 - post #298 - really good view of the nest ledge and the lower ledge where Mr. Hot Shot is.
Rain started again in the village just after I hit "post" earlier. It's now letting up again (6:08 local)
Great closeup of chick on drain cover doing some flappling.
