I can understand that. And you know what? Even though I'm right here in Winnipeg, I'm green with envy thinking of the watchers who are downtown right now, watching who knows what. I'll be there tomorrow, but can't help wishing I were there tonight, too.

I was there from 5:10 to about 7:20. When I left, Deb, LinderLou, allikat and bccs were there. Vesper parked herself on the N at about 5:20 and was still there when I left. Pincess was on the roof of Pam's bldg for more than an hour -- she was screaching her head off before she parked herself there. And Vesper was doing some screaching of her own! The boys were on the roof of the Paris Bldg for awhile, like they were waiting for dinner, but then the took off and we saw them flying way overhead a few times, but not much else. One settled on the chimney at the Marlborough for a few minutes, but didn't stay there long. I didn't have a jacket and the temp has dropped to 17, and the rest went to the back of the St. Regis, so I headed home. I'm sure there'll be more poetic reports later! :D

Tonight around 6:30, I get a glimpse of a low pass by a big one with 2 smaller ones following not to far behind on either side. Another pass and my son says did you see that. They're practising a connecting for fuel. You guessed it. They were black, fast and they were - ready - 2 fighter jets practising and chasing 2 long fuel hoses? behind a large plane.. More noise, way fewer manoeuvres, but I couln't believe I was viewing the airplanes mimicking the chase I watched thes morning of the two boys chasing Trey who was carrying a food drop!
I mean what are the odds... and guess what,the falcons were way more fun to watch ( but you knew that would be so didn't you?) I'd never seen either of these events live before!
