It was wonderful tonight to go down to see the falcons in action.  When I got there tonight at around 7:30pm there was one on the ledge which was so nice to see.  Then the little one on the ledge was joined by a parent, not sure which one and had some prey.  Then the defeathering began on the prey and feathers were flying all over the place.  Which was really neat to see in person.  I got to see all 5 of the falcons fly which was great even one did a fly by over head. So all is great with our little family.  Nice to see other falcon watchers out tonight too.  I left at about 9pm and all was good!

Just that y'all don't go through complete and horrible withdrawal, I plan to make quick air quality inspections this coming week. Won't have the ground crew ( :-* :-* ) to touch base with,
but I'll do what I can. :-*
Thanks bccs, It will be greatly appreciated :)

Got downtown about 7:15 and while walking from Garry to Smith spotted one on the ledge and one on the N. Stopped at Smith to have a look at the one on the ledge and it had a golden breast and brown coloring and was a fair size. Assumed it to be Vesper. Walked to parking lot and looked around for a bit. Joined by Jill for a few minutes, then Vera and Ted came. Vera and I were watching and saw the one (Vesper) from the ledge fly off heading in our direction and did a fly by right over us and then circled around a couple of times and landed on the louver at the top of the building. Also observed her fly back and forth from the ledge to a southside window sill. There was one on the Roger's building and saw one fly from the parkade. Saw one the parents soar on high heading eastward and out of sight. We were joined by Bunny and her beau, Ellie and her man. At one point we had spotted all five, but only once. Usually we could nail down four. Good night for watching. Forgot to mention saw prey brought in, defeathering, listened to squawking, and saw prey being removed from ledge.

Great report Ellie....Glad that you and some other were able to see some action while you were there.
Great to know that Sharp eyes Ted was around...he sure had them the other night!!!
I'm thinkin that I might just do a quick drive by on my way home this week, just to see IF anything is going on.

Hi everyone!  Had a visit to the downtown and the St. Regis lot..........met bccs, alikat,deb52,willmax and gliderpeople stopped for a bit around 1:30ish today.  No flying to speak of except princess moving from the J on the Richardson to the N at the Radisson.  Trey was on the O.  Kids somewhere in between I guess.   Were able to drop in again around 7:30 or so and was able to see a bit of flying by the unknowns.  Was there while one was on the nest ledge.  I think it was Vesper as the outline seemed quite large and also the wing span when he/she took off.  I can imagine the excitement to see someone on the ledge again even if for a short while. Two flights were away from the Radisson towards the Paris bldg. or the Vital Stat. dome. One came back and flew around with some soaring included before it disappeared in the louvres at the top of Radisson.  Neat to see these Babies fly!!  All "growed" up!!  Wonderful indeed to meet some of the names from the Forum.  This evening Linderlou was there and "sharp eyes" Ted and wife(new Forum member). Thanks for joining in!  Have a great evening everyone and a great day tomorrow.  Ciao

Carcass is on the edge of the ledge now, looks like Trey picking at it again - if he drops it somebody down below might get a new hat!  :P
Eeeeewww! What a fabulously gross thought, ballywing!  :P ;D :P

I think I'll call it a night.  The nest is empty and the conversation is deteriorating.  Thanks to those who posted their sightings of our family.  Sounds like you had a nice visit in the parking lot of the St Regis.  Wish I could have been there. :( :( If only to have seen bccs in action AGAIN).  ;) ;) :o :o ::) Night night :-* :-*

It seems like we wait and wait and then it's over so quickly. Despite the east side nest location and generally crummy weather, things have gone so well for this family. I'm sad that we don't have them on the cam much anymore but happy that things have gone well. On an upbeat note, I just checked the Alcoa website. Havoc and Sheila will hopefully be courting in about a month and we can start the excitement all over again!

Thanks for the photos.  I was able to see some of it and wondered if it could be Vesper.

Thanks for the pics, 2kawaii!  I missed the visit, but am glad they made a return.
That wingspan makes me think Vesper.
