Aw... RIP, little one. :'(

susha:
I just read the sad news, Moka. :'(  Poor little CheChe.

The chatters are saying that he/she was a preemie.

I haven't been able to get a peak at Scout.  Apparently, it's very hot at the nest (85 C) so Phoebe's keeping her/him shaded.  It sounds like he's doing well :)

Phoebe and Scout, thankfully, are doing very well.

Kinderchick:

--- Quote from: susha on May 02, 2011, 21:01 ---...Che Che (pronounced Shay Shay) is doing well. Apparently she's the size of Monique's baby finger nail!! :o  Monique feels that part of the problem is that the chick is so small - possibly a preemie.  Can't lift her head to open her beak on her own to feed...

I actually did think that Che Che might be a preemie, because she was only laid on April 15th and hatched on April 29th or 30th. That might have been a wee bit early for her to be hatching. Hatch is usually 16-18 days from date laid.

Wow, every 20 minutes-that's what I call intensive care. What dedicated people!
