From yesterday, TPC:
Was more concerned about the feathered little demon munching on my extremities!!! Then she has the nerve to fly overhead and join her parents as they were harassing us!!!  Insult to injury.  Watch, she'll be the next killer Manitoba mama on a territory somewhere and y'all will be so proud of her and I'll still have twinges from the wounds ....
She does seem to suit the name Kali.

1145 hrs (local) - Bccs called in to let me know that Ivy's been hanging out on the Manitoba Hydro building sign watching over the nestsite.  Two of the kids are still very evident, particularly when Dad turned up with some fine dining ... actually, it was more like a delivery order, he turned up, the kids ran him down for the food and he bolted, better part of valour and all that.  Think it might be the females, the chicks are about the same size and doing alot of "playing" with one another, something the girls did alot of in the box.  They also watched one of the kids, but no idea who or of what gender, chasing a swallow ... given that Loki was being dive-bombed by swallows for a big chunk of his fledging day, my bet is on him getting his own back!!

:) Good morning all! Morning Royals, wherever you are. I hope you are putting on a great aerial show for those downtown.
TPC, how are your thumbs? I just cannot imagine the pain you were and are in. Hard to do anything without the use of your thumbs.  ::)
I hope we get some new updates and pictures from someone who has a camera with a long range lens....uhhh, Dennis?  ???

You must have spoken poorly of the Techno God in the presence of one of my Falcons.  Beware my minions.....

I should have taken pictures of the blood dripping from my hand or my poor swollen thumb ... that's right, she tried to eat both of my hands - one on each trip!!!

... maybe Dennis has a photo of the blood  :'( ...

Isis

now does that look like the face of a murderous witch?

So....if you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, then you shouldn't judge a peeregrine chick by its sweet little face?

Not a big fan of early morning, so I would be thinking no earlier than 9. Tell me where and I'll be there. (Have to come home and garden in the afternoon.)
Think I'll just take a chance and drive down at some point during the day - perhaps even late in the day.
Happy watching.

Haven't seen anyone on the ledge or the box today ... may have missed them but I was around for most of the day and keeping an eye on both of our Winnipeg nests while I was working ...

They may not be coming back at this point now that Aura has fledged ... no need to, and Princess and Ivy will be beginning to play "chase-me" games and dropping food to their kids in mid-air to get them working on their mid-air catching/grasping skills.

Best way to see them right now is from the street, so don't be too sad that cam-season is over, you really can't see much now ...
