I just wanted to throw something in also. There are storms in the USA right now so I think it depends on , where they migrated to, and the route they are taking home, which is usually the same every year, according to our transmitter falcons.

I do not know these 2 well enough to make a comment on who it is. I jsut know the biologists kept saying last year it was not our male and i knew it was and then we got band numbers and it was.  So Tracy knows the habits of these 2 better than anyone.

Hope this link works....I think this young male might be Ivy, but I'm not sure. 
In 2008, the same thing happened and Trey appeared on March 31st.

It's only March 26th....according to the link that I posted from the 2008 gallery, Trey was spotted on March 31st with Princess at their favorite perch, the Richardson Building.  Then he was spotted on his throne.
Chin up everyone!  There is still lots of exciting moments ahead!

About hald an hour ago someone was sitting on the nest box.  As I was digging my binnoculars out he/she walked to the back of the nest out of sight.

I think it might be Ivy and that is why I'm not seeing the usual "honey I'm home" befhaviour around the Radisson.  Last year Trey & Princess arrived together so Ivy didn't get a chance to come downtown if he wanted to.  We will just have to wait and see.  Trey won't be "late-late" for another couple of weeks.  And Princess was pretty definite in her rebuff of Ivy in 2008 so if Trey doesn't return we may just have to wait for a new man to turn up, one that Princess will accept.

Fingers crossed the falcon mystery is solved, I know how you feel - I've been trying to figure out for days who the female at my site is.  Something about her is not the same..can't put my finger on it but something is different.  Here's hoping it's just the lighting

Edit:  I blew up the above photo and he has one black speckle on the pure white bib on the left and so does Trey in the gallery photos, Ivy doesn't that I could see.  But still hard to tell.
