Today's Weather
Monday Night - Cloudy. Showers beginning overnight. Low 15.
Tuesday Day - Showers ending in the afternoon then a mix of sun and cloud with 40 percent chance of showers. Risk of a thunderstorm in the afternoon. Amount 15 mm. Wind south 20 km/h becoming light early in the afternoon. High 21. UV index 3 or moderate.
Tuesday Night - Cloudy with 60 percent chance of showers. Risk of a thunderstorm. Wind south 20 km/h becoming light late in the evening. Wind becoming northwest 30 overnight. Low 10.
The Peregrine Chick:
Morning folks ....
One of the adults (Princess by size) was sitting on the edge of the nestbox until a wee bit ago. Can't tell if she has gone inside but doesn't look like - she's big enough that we should be able to see her outline no matter where she is in the box. At this age, the chicks don't need to be covered, they can thermoregulate on their own - barring a sudden freeze of course. In another week, the chicks will even be able to sit out in the rain without problems, but hopefully they won't need to ...
