Radisson - 2010 / Ivy & Princess
hazeldidit:
here in the West End the storm has hit, the wind is really blowing.
sami:
Thunder, lightning, heavy rain in St James - got very dark here suddenly. I do hope the little ones have found a safe place. I would feel much better if I knew where they were - maybe. Depends on where they are.
Gale:
4:45 pm & it's really stormy in Charleswood - high winds, heavy rain, thunder. I hope the kids all tuck themselves into safe places.
ShoeChick:
4:40pm in Winnipeg. Hurricane conditions in the west part of the city where I am. I can not see across the parking lot at work due to the heavy gusting rain. I don't recall seeing a storm this nasty all season, and we've had some bad ones. It appears that the girls have taken cover inside the box, hope the boys are OK.

I am wondering where the best place to start a personal Fledge Watch would be. I'll be downtown tomorrow afternoon / evening so thought I would stop by (for my very first time) to see if I can spot any of our Royals. I'll check this forum before I leave for any clues regarding who is where however is there a certain street / corner/ building / parkade that I should start at? Any advice from the regular watchers to us novice ones would be appreciated. Thanks all! :D

Two ways you can do this Shoechick. You can pm Tracy and she will set you up in the fledge watch link. This is for volunteers only, not a public topic. Then you can see who has signed up for what.
The other way is to show up and find us. This year we're mostly on Portage Ave, by the MTS Centre or across the street from it. We're not hard to spot, a group with binoculars having a lot of laughs together.
I don't suspect that anyone will be down tonight, given the brewing storm. Tracy did tell me that the birdies will tuck in nicely where ever they are and will be safe. Good enough for me, if The Chick says so, then I don't worry.
By the way, I'm not going to go downtown tonight. There'll be nothing to see and I don't fancy getting drenched. ::)
