Thanks Tracy.

The Peregrine Chick:

--- Quote from: KDR33 on July 07, 2010, 18:00 ---I noticed that Loki has more gold in his feathers than his parents appear to.  Is this because he's still young, because he's wet, or is it usual for peregrines to have unique colorings?

--- End quote ---

Adult peregrines are dark slate grey and white with black speckles on their breast & belly.  Juvenile peregrines are dark brown instead of grey and gold instead of white with dark brown vertical stripes on their breast & belly.  The juvenile birds will lose most if not all of their juvenile plumage by spring next year.

Now cam is back on the nestbox.

Ivy dropped by for a bit....looked like he was considering ordering a maid from front desk to clean the mess the teenagers left in the nest box. ;D
