Alison:
It was posted on the Elk River site that the female at Sherco is 30/B. This information was originally provided by Amy Ries, the webmaster at Raptor Resource, who is also very much involved in banding.  Her post:

Babies are:
    Female:   1687-30273   72/D   b/r   Sherfire
    Male:      0816-38655   D/90   b/g   Wander
    Male:      0816-38654   D/89   b/g   Breaker
Mom is 30/B

I hope the female at Sherco is 30/B. She is a most courageous falcon. The only thing is that I haven't seen a falcon with any missing talons when I have watched the Sherco nest this year, so I am somewhat puzzled. Both birds at the nest are banded; a couple of times I could almost read the bands.

Here are a couple of pics of the female. Unless there was a change at some stage, the falcon below is not 30/B:  ???

so many sites, you have to make choices on where to spend your valuable time ('specially if Da Man makes you WORK for a Living....  sheesh)

I admit it, I only regularly see Elk River and P&T.  all others I go to if someone says something nifty is happening right then.

so I REALLY appreciate those who spend tons of time giving all the updates and especially those folks who take the time to post photos.  THANK YOU!!!   ;D :-* ;D

So, I have to admit that I have been neglecting most of the Minnesota sites.  It was heartattack time here today for me.   One of the chicks ended up outside of the nestbox.  Fortunately there is a lower ledge before the outside bar, not just thin air,  and after many, many attempts, chick number 3 managed to get back into the box. Whew!
