Alison:
The cams at this site came back online on December 2. However, a few hours later they were down again.

Today one of the cams is live, and a peregrine visited for a few minutes.

Alison:
Today brings more very sad news from the Bloor/Islington nest:

Bliss no longer with us

Marion Nash Reports:

Bliss band number Z 29 was spotted in a construction in the Distillery district on the ground with a broken beak. CPF got the call and Bruce went out to try to find her. Her wings were not broken or fractured and she was able to fly so although he tried he could not find her anywhere. Bruce then went to the nest site hoping she may come home but she did not. Some kindly person did find her and took her into Toronto Wildlife but she was so malnourished she was just skin and bone and her beak was very badly broken. TWC made the decision to put her down. Sad but at least she is no longer suffering.

Poor little Bliss; I wish they had been able to save her.  :'(

Alison:
The names and band numbers for the four chicks are as follows:

Avro, male, banded 01/AW
Griffon, male, banded 02/AW
Aries, male, banded 03/AW
Bliss, female, banded Z/29

It is very sad that Griffon was lost in a building collision on June 21.

Just a quick progress update.  The kids have all fledged, sadly we lost Griffon to the dreaded glass towers shortly after his fledge.  Avro has been rescued 3 times but I have high hopes for him.  Bliss and Aries continue to do well and stay high in the sky  :)

carly:
Our banding was today at 3.30 pm.  Three boys and one girl.  All a good size, the girl was 900 grams!  Names are Avro, Aries and Griffin for the boys and the girl was named Bliss.

Bands and photos should be posted in the next day or so!
